Call for abstracts

“From Innovation to Application: The Future of Steel Slags”

 Call for oral and paper presentations

 The organization committee for Euroslag 2026 in Luleå Sweden, 16-18 June 2026, welcomes all interested parties to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Abstracts should be received no later than September 30.

Under the slogan “From Innovation to Application: The Future of Steel Slags” oral and poster presentations are sought within the topics:

1. Legislation, rules and standards (developments in Europe and other regions of the world)
2. Research and innovation (industrial transformation, characteristics of slag and slag-based products, research and demonstration projects, slag processing)
3. Valorization and best practices (utilization, sourcing and logistics, best practices for timely and effectively recycling and resource efficiency)

We are aiming for presentations from steel producers, slag processors, equipment providers, government and regulatory authorities, researchers and end-users of slag, not limited to but with a special emphasis on the challenges introduced to slag handling and treatment through the green transition of the metallurgical industry.

Abstract submission

Authors aiming to make a presentation or contribute with a poster presentation are asked to prepare maximum 500 words abstract, including title, authors and affiliation, maximum two pages including references and figures. If you already know that you prefer a poster presentation over an oral, please indicate so.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee. Contributions selected for oral presentations will be asked to submit their presentation files no later than May 15, 2026. The presentations will be available through the conference app at the start of the conference.

Authors will be notified of the reviewing result during November 2025.
